The Heart Behind The Blog

Hi there ¨̮

My name is Mercy and I'm a 30 year old woman just trying to bring God glory.

Chances are, you're here because you know me and wanted to support me on this new endeavor. So, you clicked the link I've been sharing on social media, and voilà, you're reading the 'About Me' for my new blog. Thank you so much for your support. On the off chance you're here accidentally, stumbling through the internet - hello to you as well. Thanks for reading this. Whoever you are, however you came across this website, I am hopeful it is because God has something for you here.

I'm here to create something tangible. A place to return when I want to share something with the world, mostly, something God has placed on my heart. I want to share devotional meditations, prayers, testimonies and more with you all in an attempt to connect to those within the Body of Christ and those without, in a meaningful way. I want this blog to be a raw reflection of my life and my journey through Christianity; I don't want to be held back by fear of judgement, shame over my mistakes, or someone's opinion of me based on what I share. I just want you to see who I am and who I tend to be sometimes. A woman made in the image of God. A sinner. Someone who is afraid of being judged. Someone who would run in shame if every person who knew me had a fly-on-the-wall view into my daily life. Sometimes I hate who I can be. But I am always grateful for this life, for the Lord Jesus Christ, and for the fact that none of us are the sum of our mistakes.

Sometimes it is important to see other's mistakes, shortcomings, and sins to remember that we're all on this same path together. And we need one another. It is also essential we share our praise reports with one another; how God is showing up in your life this season.

As I develop this website (I have no idea what I'm doing but I will learn, God willing), I plan to have a space where others can share their thoughts, anonymously or otherwise, and we can all come together to commune without judgement, without condemnation and without a need to hide who we truly are. Until then, I hope you enjoy what I share from my heart; may what you read here be something you can relate to, see yourself or someone you love in, and draw inspiration from. I pray my writings evoke conviction, hope and peace in your hearts. At the very least, I hope what you read here is full of the fragrance of God's love for you and may God get all the glory.

Thank you so much for joining me on this journey. May the Lord bless and keep you always.

With love in Christ,
Mercy Elizabeth.
